We are glad that you have come to seek forgiveness for your sin, and it is wonderful that you acknowledged the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is only through Jesus that we have forgiveness of sins and access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved, Acts 4:12 WEB: 'There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!'
Let us pray together for your forgiveness and repentance of your specific sin, Matthew 6:9 WEB: Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
While Jesus was on earth, he said, Mark 2:17 WEB: 'When Jesus heard it, he said to them, Healthy people don t need a doctor, but sick people do. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.' which means that he came to save those who are sinners.
Romans 3:23 WEB: 'for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;' and Romans 6:23 WEB: 'For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.' Therefore, since all have sinned and deserve death, only belief in Jesus Christ's death and resurrection gives eternal life. If you believe in Jesus, then your sins can be forgiven, Ephesians 1:7 WEB: 'in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,'
2 Corinthians 5:21 WEB: 'For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.' Jesus became sin for you so that you could become righteous.
It is important that you confess your specific sins to God.
Please pray with us, 'Father, I ask forgiveness for my sins and especially for... Please forgive my sins through the blood of Jesus Christ. Wash me and make me clean. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.' You need to confess your sins.
After you confess your specific sins, then 1 John 1:9 WEB: 'If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.'
Now, go forth and sin no more, John 8:11 WEB: 'She said, No one, Lord. Jesus said, Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more.'
We pray that you find a local Bible preaching church that can help you grow in your walk with Jesus Christ.
If it is possible, please tell us about what sin you need to be forgiven for. This can help us guide you and pray for you better. Also, let us know if the sin is a habitual sin or was a one time occurrence. We are here to help you and want to help you live a life without condemnation and sin.
