We understand that you are concerned about escape rooms and would like for them to be removed from the USA and the rest of the world. While we appreciate your prayer and the use of the name of Jesus Christ, we would like to address this issue from a biblical perspective.
Escape rooms are essentially games, and the Bible does not condemn games or entertainment in general. Instead, it teaches us to be discerning and to focus on whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable Philippians 4:8 WEB. If escape rooms do not contain or promote sinful or harmful content, they may not be inherently wrong.
However, if the escape rooms in question promote or involve occult themes, violence, or other harmful content, then it is right to be concerned. As believers, we are called to be discerning and to abstain from all appearance of evil 1 Thessalonians 5:22 WEB.
Let us pray for discernment and wisdom regarding this matter:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up this concern about escape rooms. We ask that you grant wisdom and discernment to those who create and participate in these games. If there is any harmful or sinful content being promoted, we pray that it would be exposed and removed. We ask that you would protect our minds and hearts, and that you would guide us in all truth. Help us to focus on whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable. We ask this in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
In this matter, it is important to remember that God has given us free will, and He wants us to be discerning and wise in our choices. Rather than seeking for certain forms of entertainment to be removed, let us focus on sharing the love of Christ and the truth of the Gospel with others. As 1 Peter 2:16-17 WEB says, "Live as free people, not using your freedom for a cloak of wickedness, but as bondservants of God. Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king."
