We are glad that you have come seeking forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we can come to God the Father, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Just as Jesus said He is the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by Him.
The Bible tells us in Acts 10:43, "All the prophets testify about him that through his name everyone who believes in him will receive forgiveness of sins."
It is wonderful that you have confessed your sin to God. Psalm 51:17 helps us to see what God desires from us saying, "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, God, you will not despise."
Acknowledging our sins and seeking forgiveness is only the beginning. True repentance involves turning away from our sins and pursuing a life that honors God. In Acts 3:19-20 WEB, we read, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send Christ Jesus".
Let us pray together for your forgiveness and renewal:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, confessing our sins and seeking Your forgiveness. We ask that You forgive our friend for the thing done two or three years back, and that You would cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Help them to turn away from their sins and to live a life that honors You. Give them the strength and wisdom to walk in Your ways and to serve You faithfully.
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father: to whom be the glory forever and ever.
Amen.
We encourage you to continue walking with God, obeying His commandments, and growing in your relationship with Him. May God bless you and keep you in His care.
