We are glad that you have come seeking forgiveness, and you are doing so in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and it is only through faith in His redemptive work on the cross that we can be forgiven. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB:
"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
The Bible assures us that if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9 WEB) So let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, confessing our sins and seeking your forgiveness. We acknowledge that we have fallen short of your glory and need your mercy. Please forgive us, cleanse us from all unrighteousness, and help us to walk in your ways. Thank you for your unfailing love and faithfulness. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
