We are glad that you have come seeking forgiveness and are praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God, and it is only through faith that we can be saved. As Scripture tells us, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
First, let us address your request for forgiveness. We all fall short of the glory of God, and everyone has sinned in their lives. But God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins when we ask Him. As it is written, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)
Know that when you asked for forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ, you were heard. There is no need to carry the burden of these sins any longer. Jesus Christ paid the price for our sins on the cross, and through Him, we are made righteous before God. "Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;" (Romans 5:1)
However, it is also important to turn away from our sins and strive to live in a way that honors God. This is what it means to repent. As God's word says, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord." (Acts 3:19)
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who has come seeking Your forgiveness. Lord, You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We ask that You would forgive these sins that have been confessed to You, and that You would help them to turn away from their sins and live a life that honors You. Give them strength and guidance through Your Holy Spirit, and help them to grow in their faith and knowledge of You. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that your sins are forgiven and that you can walk in newness of life with Christ. Strive to live a life that honors God, and do not be held captive by your past sins any longer. God loves you and has a plan for your life. Trust in Him and follow His ways.
