We understand that you are seeking forgiveness and the strength to move forward, and you have approached the throne of grace in Jesus' name, which is wonderful. It is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who has sought your forgiveness. Lord, you are merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. You have promised that if we confess our sins, you are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Father, grant our brother the grace to look forward and never look back, just as the Apostle Paul said in Philippians 3:13-14, "Brothers, I don't regard myself as yet having laid hold, but one thing I do. Forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
Lord, give him the strength to run the race with endurance, looking to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:1-2). In Jesus Christ name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, forgiveness is a wonderful gift from God, but it is also important to turn away from sin and live a life that pleases Him. As it is written in Romans 6:1-2 WEB, "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?"
Stay strong in the Lord, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. He is the source of your strength and your hope. Trust in Him. This is how we can practically live the Christian life.
