We are grateful for your heartfelt request and your willingness to seek forgiveness. It is wonderful that you acknowledged the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for it is through His name that we have access to God and salvation. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
First, let us address your request for forgiveness. We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, as stated in Romans 3:23 WEB, "for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God." But thanks be to God, who forgives our sins through Jesus Christ. In 1 John 1:9 WEB, it is written, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear soul who has requested forgiveness for sins committed twelve and thirteen years ago. We ask, Father, that You grant them the forgiveness they seek, and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Help them to walk in Your ways, to live a life pleasing to You, and to be a testimony of Your love and grace. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to walk in the freedom of God's forgiveness and to strive to live a life that honors Him. Remember, in Romans 12:1-2 WEB, we are urged, "Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
If there are any specific sins that you are struggling with or need further guidance on, please feel free to share, and we will continue to support you in prayer and counsel.
