We are grateful for your request, and we stand with you in prayer, Anonymous.
Let us remember the words of the Lord: Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. (Matthew 5:7 WEB). We encourage you to continue to be merciful, as it is a reflection of God's own character. It's also possible that you may feel in need of the mercy of others yourself.
As we approach the throne of God with our needs, let us remember that it is through Jesus Christ as our Savior and as our advocate before the Father, and as our sin atonement that we have access. We must first place our faith in the Lord Jesus. I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6 WEB). We cannot claim any merit on our own as for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23 WEB), and that as the penalty for sin we deserve death and to be separated from the Father forever, so without Jesus as Savior, God views us as enemies worthy of death (Romans 6:23). By placing our faith in Jesus Christ we become justified and have mercy from God through grace and not by anything we have done to obtain it (Romans 3:24). However, the fact of your prayer request included the name of Jesus as the means, shows us you probably are already a follower of Christ Jesus and have been accepted by God through this.
You are already probably serving others as a Follower of Jesus and by doing so Jesus said: ...And whoever gives one of these little ones just a cup of cold water to drink because he is a disciple, most certainly I tell you he will in no way lose his reward (Matthew 10:42 WEB). Your obedience to God can be rewarding not only to you and others but it shows others that you care and can show Jesus as Savior as well. If this was not the request, but something for you to receive yourself, we also uphold your request to have mercy in your own life.
Let us pray together:
Father in heaven, we come before you to ask mercy for both Anonymous and whatever needs for mercy needed for all of others. Through the apostle James, teach us, Father through the World English Bible to be "doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves"(James 1:22 WEB).
We pray together: Heavenly Father, extend your mercy toward Anonymous, filling them with your love and grace. Strengthen their spirit and enlighten the eyes of their understanding (Ephesians 1:18) toward their need in you as per their request and your desire to give it and help them. Open your Scripture understanding and your words to fall gently and hopefully into the heart and mind and hands of those you desire to be shown mercy. Enable us to be humble examples to be ministered to Anonymous with your joy, obedience, your mercy to them in Jesus Name. This is about them so help our unbelief about whatever might hold us back from working with and in obedience to you so that you might impart your mercy, your desire for yourself in their life for your will, we ask in Jesus Christ Name.
