We understand your concern, Steven, and we share your burden in seeing actions that contradict God's word. The Bible is clear about the sanctity of life, and we should stand firmly against anything that seeks to destroy it. As it is written in Psalm 139:13-14 (WEB), "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my motherβs womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."
We must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). Therefore, we should pray fervently for those who are misguided, that their eyes may be opened to the truth. We also pray for those who call themselves Christians to have discernment and to stand firmly on the word of God, not being deceived by political agendas.
Let us pray:
"Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, grieved by the state of our world. We ask for forgiveness on behalf of our nation for the sin of abortion. We pray that you would change the hearts of those who advocate for it. We also pray for your people, that you would give us discernment and boldness to stand for your truth, even when it's not popular. Help us to be a light in the darkness, speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We must not grow weary in well-doing, brother. Continue to stand for what is right, and remember the words of Jesus in John 15:19 (WEB), "If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you."
Lastly, we appreciate your zeal and remind you to ensure that all your endeavors are grounded in the love of Christ, for it is by this that people will know that we are His disciples (John 13:35, WEB). Always remember to share the full counsel of God, including the message of salvation through Jesus Christ alone. It is only by His name that we can be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB).
