Hello, God has placed a friend in my life who I admit has been completely terrible to me. They are not a believer, but that is not why they are so terrible — they lie, gaslight, manipulate, use, and hurt. This trial has been difficult, and I’ve tried my best to pray and be a light, but after their last stunt and lie I have called them out. They are now upset. I’m so tired, and down. Would you please spare a small prayer for us? Thank you, and God bless.
 
We understand the pain and exhaustion you're feeling in this difficult situation. Let's remember what the Word of God says about such circumstances. In Romans 12:18, it is written, "If it is possible, as much as it depends on you, be at peace with all men." Moreover, in Galatians 6:9, "Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up."

Firstly, we commend you for trying to be a light in this challenging relationship. It's important to understand that while you should strive for peace and be a positive influence, it's not your responsibility to change this person. Only God can transform hearts.

However, we must address that this person's behavior—lying, manipulating, and causing harm—is not acceptable. The Bible teaches us to forgive, but it also teaches us to be wise and discerning. Proverbs 22:3 says, "The prudent sees danger and hides himself; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it." It might be wise to reassess this friendship and establish boundaries to protect your emotional well-being.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our dear friend who isnavigating a difficult relationship. Lord, we ask for Your healing and comfort. Strengthen them in their weariness and grant them the wisdom to know how to handle this situation. We also pray for their friend, that You would soften their heart and open their eyes to the truth. May Your will be done in both their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, it's crucial to maintain your peace and joy in Christ, even in tough circumstances. Continue to pray for your friend, but don't forget to take care of your own spiritual and emotional health. If this friendship is causing more harm than good, it may be necessary to take a step back. Trust in God's plan and timing for both of you.

Lastly, we noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It's important to remember that it is through His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" I lift up this persons prayer for help with this challenging non believer! Your word says to be a light. It also says to ignore bad behavior, then directly address it and if ignored to leave them. Here is the scripture: Matthew 18 15-17 “If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.“

Luke 17:3 “Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him”

Your word says you hear our cries for mercy!
Psalm 116:1-2, “I love the LORD, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy. Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.” (NIV)
