In times of uncertainty, it's important to remember that God guides our steps. We are reminded in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Instead of seeking a sign, we should seek God's will through prayer, His word, and godly counsel.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up this dear one who is seeking your guidance about their career. Lord, we ask that you give them the wisdom and discernment needed to understand your will for their life. Help them to trust in you completely, and not rely on their own understanding or signs. Open the doors that you would have them go through, and close the doors that are not part of your plan. Give them the courage to step out in faith as you lead, and the patience to wait on your timing.
We also pray that they would grow in their relationship with you, Jesus Christ, through this process. We remember that it is in your name alone that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved and approach the Father, and we are trusting in his saving grace and power to lead and guide in every aspect of life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to spend time in God's word, seeking His face, and listening for His voice. He is faithful to guide and direct our steps when we are walking close to Him and there is no better guide than the Holy Spirit.
