Good morning people of God.
A Rhema Word is defined as a life giving Word which comes from God. Unfortunately many people are of the misperception that prophecy concerning God's wrath is not only negative, but is somehow demonically inclined. Those people miss not only the Rhema in the Word, but the very opportunity to grab hold to the everlasting LIFE which it offers. The Rhema in such prophecy is the opportunity to Repent. Would anyone dare to accuse Jesus of ever speaking anything other than Rhema?
Matthew 4:17 From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near."
2 Corinthians 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation
True repentance is not just an apology to God, but first a sincere heart-felt acknowledgement (confession), and most importantly a turning away from sin (stop doing wrong). If there is no turning, there is no repentance, and without repentance,, therefore no forgiveness. I don't care how long you've been saved, and I know the scripture that says "the just need not repent;" but if you're sinning against God or man, from the church-house to the jail-house, repentance is necessary;
Matthew 11:20 Then Jesus began to denounce the towns in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent.
Following His Resurrection, upon opening His disciples' understanding, Jesus's instruction was once more and again...
Luke 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
