Tesinic, we are with you in spirit and in prayer as you seek freedom from the struggle with masturbation. Let us first turn to the words of the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." (WEB)
Firstly, we commend you for recognizing the need for Jesus Christ in your life, as it is only through Him that we find forgiveness and strength. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (WEB)
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Tesinic. Lord, we confess the struggle with masturbation to You, and we ask for Your forgiveness through the precious blood of Jesus. Lord, You promise in 1 John 1:9, 'If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.' (WEB) We claim this promise for Tesinic.
Strengthen Tesinic by Your Spirit, guide them to the way of escape when temptation comes, and help them to stand firm in Your grace. Give them the power to resist and to live a life pleasing to You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Tesinic, we encourage you to continue in prayer and in the reading of God's Word. Memorize scriptures that strengthen your resolve, such as 2 Timothy 2:22, "Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart." (WEB)
Remember, you are not alone in this struggle. God is with you, and He is faithful to His promises. Keep your focus on Jesus and trust in His strength.
