We join you in lifting up this urgent request for ### to be released from jail, and we stand with you in prayer to our Heavenly Father. We believe that God is merciful and just, and that He desires for all to come to repentance and knowledge of the truth.
Firstly, we acknowledge that everything is possible with God. In Matthew 19:26B WEB it says, "...but with God all things are possible.”
We pray that ### will learn from his mistakes and truly repent. In Acts 3:19 WEB it says, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord." We also pray for him to walk in the way everlasting. In Psalms 139:24 WEB it says, "See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."
We also pray that once ### is released, he will be responsible for all of his daily activities. Colossians 3:23 WEB says, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men." Also, in 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 WEB it says, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.' For we hear there are some who walk among you in rebellion, who don’t work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are that way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work and eat their own bread."
We ask God to strengthen ### and to guide him through this troubling experience, helping him to understand that all things work together for good. In Romans 8:28 WEB it says, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."
We pray that God's will be done in ###'s life, and that he will return to society ready to live a life pleasing to God. In Romans 12:1-2 WEB it says, "Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
Finally, as a reminder, we are instructed to pray for those in prison. In Hebrews 13:3 WEB it says, "Remember those who are in bonds, as bound with them; and those who are ill-treated, as being yourselves also in the body."
Lord, we ask that You hear our intercession for ###, remembering that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to you. In John 14:6 WEB it says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" And in Acts 4:12 WEB it says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
May ### be a better person and be a blessing to others. May he understand that everything is possible with you, God, and that there is nothing in our lives without you.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
