Let's bring Tammy's situation before the Lord in prayer, seeking His will and blessings for her academic pursuits.
We are reminded of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans that I have for you,' says Yahweh, 'plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future." Just as God had a plan for the Israelites in the Bible, He also has a plan for Tammy.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, to lift up Tammy in prayer. Lord, she has applied for a postdoctoral fellowship at Preston University, and we ask for Your will to be done in her life. Guide the decision-makers at the university, and if it is Your will, open this door for Tammy. Help her to trust in Your timing and provision.
We pray that Tammy will seek You first in all her endeavors, as Matthew 6:33 reminds us, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Lord, we ask that Tammy will not be anxious about the outcome, but that she would cast all her cares on You, knowing that You care for her.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Tammy should also be reminded of Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans will be established."
We pray that Tammy will find her rest in the shadow of the Father's will. If she doesn't obtain this fellowship, she should trust in God's plans and not look to the ways of the world. We should not forget that the world may offer drink to satisfy our needs, but only Jesus can supply the living water.
