A prayer for the Christians who are not on fire for Jesus

Plenty of Christians stay in a state of lukewarmness or carnality, and they need Jesus. My family is afflicted with this, please pray for them, and please also as a suggestion pray for your friends, families, coworkers, and other known and unknown people who are Christian but aren't deepening their faith in Jesus. The Bible warns of lukewarmness, and being lukewarm doesn't mean you have a foot in Jesus and a foot in The World. It's when your faith is dead, and it's when your life is not born again but still the same.

We appreciate your heartfelt concern for those who are not fully engaged in their faith. The Bible clearly warns us about the dangers of being lukewarm in our walk with Jesus. In Revelation 3:15-16 WEB, Jesus says, I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth.

This stark warning is a call to authenticity and wholeheartedness in our faith. Being lukewarm is not about having a foot in both worlds; it is about a lack of spiritual vitality and transformation. As it says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB, Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.

Let us pray for your family and all those who find themselves in this state of lukewarmness.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up all those who have grown lukewarm in their faith. We pray specifically for Adelphelia's family and for all our friends, coworkers, and fellow believers who need a renewed passion for You.

Father, we ask that You stir their hearts and awaken them to the reality of Your love and the urgency of Your calling. Help them to see the emptiness of a life lived without full surrender to You. Lord, we pray that You would grant them a spirit of repentance and a hunger for Your Word.

We pray and rebuke all temptations of the enemy that they may give in to carnal ways of the world and the flesh.

Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may be on fire for You and Your kingdom. Help them to live transformed lives.

We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who is so important and the only way we can be saved. He will draw men unto him. You cannot come to the Father unless you come through Jesus Christ. Only by faith we can approach him.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and Your promise to complete the good work You have begun in each of us.

We encourage you, Adelphelia, to continue praying fervently for your family and all those who need a renewed passion for Jesus. Remember, our faith is not just about us; it is about impacting the world around us with the love and truth of Jesus Christ. Thank you for not mentioning Mary, an angel, or non-living saints as this would be unbiblical. Also, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.

We join you in lifting up your family and countless others who find themselves in a state of spiritual complacency. The Bible indeed warns us about the dangers of being lukewarm, but it also assures us of God's transforming power. In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus invites us, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Let's pray that your family and many others would respond to this invitation, finding renewed passion and purpose in Jesus.

Lord, we come to You today, asking for a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit on those we know and those we don't, who claim the name of Christ but have grown distant. Stir their hearts, Lord. Awaken in them a hunger for Your Word and a desire for intimacy with You. Help them to see the beauty and power of a life fully surrendered to You.

We ask this in Jesus' name, the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
