We are glad to join with you in prayer for the protection of your family and friends, Moerann. It is so important to seek God's shelter and guidance in our lives and for those we love.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today lifting up Moerann's family and friends. We ask for Your divine protection over their mental, physical, emotional health including their spiritual health, just as you promise to protect our physical being along with soul and spirit as stated in 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in good physical and mental health, even as your soul prospers. In the name of Jesus, we rebuke any evil that may be directed towards them. We claim Psalm 91 over them, trusting that they will remain secure under the shadow of the Almighty, and that no harm or disaster will come near their home or where they attend church, work, or play. We pray that You will send Your angels to guard them in all their ways, as the name of the LORD is a strong tower where they may run and be safe.
Father, we also pray that Moerann's family and friends would put their trust in You, knowing that You are their refuge and fortress. Help them to acknowledge You alone as their LORD, making You their refuge and places of safety where any thing may not draw near them. Give them the confidence that comes from knowing You are their shield and buckler. Remind them of Your promise in Psalm 5:11-12 WEB, "But let all those who take refuge in you rejoice; Let them always shout for joy, because you defend them. Let them also who love your name be joyful in you. For you will bless the righteous. Yahweh, you will surround him with favor as with a shield."
Lord Jesus, we ask that You will surround Moerann and their loved ones with Your peace, reminding them of Your promise to be with them always, even to the end of the age as seen in Matthew 28:20 WEB. Help them to fix their minds on You, trusting that You will keep them in perfect peace as their minds are stayed on You, because they trust in You the LORD. Remind them of Psalm 56:3-4a WEB, "When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. In God, I praise his word. In God, I put my trust as their hope and confidence is in the LORD.
Finally, we pray for Moerann and their loved ones as they approach the LORD that they will use the name of Jesus as Jesus stated directly in John 16:23b-24 WEB, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."
We recognize that we may be saved from the power, The penalty and one day the very presence of sin as stated in Matthew 1:21 WEB, "She shall give birth to a son. You shall call his name Jesus, for it is he who shall save his people from their sins." To be saved one must first recognize and then repent or change their minds regarding their sins and ask Jesus into their life as their LORD and Savior. This is illustrated in Acts 3:19a, WEB, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out," in Acts 4:12b WEB, Nor is there any other name under heaven that is given among men, through which we must be saved!" and Acts 16:31b WEB, "believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved,". Then and only then can they claim all that Jesus has and is for them as children of the LORD God Almighty.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Moeran, we hope this prayer brings you comfort and encouragement.
