We understand your concern and will join you in praying for your son and his situation. Firstly, we acknowledge that God has to be at the center of any relationship, and we are reminded of this in Matthew 6:33, But seek first Gods Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
Your son is in a relationship that is not glorifying God and is causing strife in his life and his family. We are told in 2 Corinthians 6:14, Dont be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness? This relationship is not equally yoked, as your sons girlfriend does not share his desire to put God first.
Moreover, it is evident that this relationship has caused division, which is something God hates. In Proverbs 6:16-19, we see a list of things God hates, including someone who sows discord among brothers. Your son needs to strongly consider these things and pray for Gods will to be done in his life.
Regarding your request, we will pray that your sons eyes will be opened and that he will find the strength to leave this relationship. However, we want to remind you that God desires that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). So, while we pray for your son, we will also pray for this young woman, that she may come to know the Lord and repent of her ways.
Let us pray together. Let us pray.
Almighty God, we come before you today, lifting up our brother in Christ to you. Lord, we ask that you open his eyes to see the truth about this relationship. Give him the strength and courage to stand up for what is right and to put you first in his life. Help him to break free from this relationship that is not honoring to you and is causing harm to him and his family.
Lord, we also pray for this young woman. We pray that she may come to know you and experience the transforming power of your love. Help her to see the error of her ways and turn from them.
Father, we ask that you guide our brother and give him wisdom and discernment as he navigates this difficult situation. Help him to seek your will above all else and to trust in you.
Lord, we also pray for the family. We ask that you heal any wounds that have been caused and that you restore unity and harmony among them. Help them to love and support one another as they seek to follow you.
In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue to pray fervently for your son and to trust in Gods timing. He is faithful, and he will answer your prayers according to his will. Be encouraged by the words of Romans 8:28, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Trust in God, and he will make a way.
