Heavenly Father, we lift up this family and their beloved grandfather to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Lord, You are the great healer, full of compassion and mercy. We ask that You be with him as he faces the challenges of a recent heart attack and the possibility of open-heart surgery. Your Word reminds us, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). Be their comfort and strength during this time.
Father, we pray for healing over this grandfather’s body. Your Word declares, “I am the Lord who heals you” (Exodus 15:26). Let Your healing power flow through him, restoring his heart and body to full health. Guide the hands of the doctors and medical staff as they make decisions and care for him. You are the source of all wisdom, and we trust in Your guidance, as Your Word says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault” (James 1:5).
Lord, we ask for peace to surround this family as they lean on You. Your Word assures us, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7). Calm their fears and fill their hearts with the assurance that You are in control.
We also pray for strength for the grandfather and his family. Your Word promises, “The Lord gives strength to His people; the Lord blesses His people with peace” (Psalm 29:11). Sustain them through this trial and remind them of Your unfailing love.
Father, we place this grandfather in Your capable hands, trusting in Your will and divine plan. As Your Word says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). May Your presence bring comfort, healing, and hope to this family.
In the powerful name of Jesus, we thank You for hearing our prayer and for the miracles You are working even now. Amen.
