Let us take this burden for your city to the Lord in prayer, trusting in the power of Jesus' name.
Beloved,we are reminded in 2 Chronicles 7:14 WEB If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Therefore, let us pray.
Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, interceding for this city. You know the wickedness that lurks in its streets, but You are also aware of the righteous who dwell in it. We pray for Your blessing on this city and its people. May Your grace and mercy flow on the citizens and neighbors. We pray for Your protection covering all who dwell in the city and make it a refuge for those who pass.
Father, we ask this in Jesus name. We pray for purification of this city from wickedness. We ask that you drive out such wickedness and evil. We confess the sins of this city and ask the Lord Jesus Christ, our salvation to lead the inhabitants out of the world into God's loving kindness and to life in him. Please ask in the same way that Jesus taught us, that this city be purified from Satan and for a place that Jesus can feel comfortable to dwell.
Father, Lord Jesus Christ, please make believers for Jesus Christ who can be the salt and the light in this city..
Though thomist Roman Catholic prayers are well intentioned, scripture tells us that there is only one way to the Father, and that is through Jesus Christ, and one name to be saved by. Acts 4:12 WEB emphasizes There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Paul tells us in 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB that there is one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ. We must not pray to anybody else but Jesus Christ.
Allow us to remember the words of Jesus Himself in John 14:13-14 WEB Whatever you may ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it and in John 16:24 WEB Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.
Let us also pray for the governing authorities of this city, as Scripture teaches us in Romans 13:1. Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God.
Beloved, as a group, we kindly rebuke stating prayers for Mary, an angel, or non-living saints. Mary, in her own words, proclaimed her need for Jesus Christ as her personal savior in John 2:6 WEB. We show our love for Mary by thanking Jesus for his salvation and crying out to Jesus for our salvation. Listen to Mary and pray to your savior, Jesus the Christ.
Would you consider committing in your heart to planning to share the real gospel of Jesus Chirst with one local person this week before next Sunday? We can repeat this every week until we are called home to heaven. Become the salt and the light in your place. Take just a minute to pray in Jesus name that the Holy Spirit will lead you to the person. We will pray for you to have the faith and confidence to share the real gospel of Jesus in the compassion of Jesus Chirst with the person. We will join you in prayer to be a witness for Jesus Christ.
Listen to what Jesus said in John 15:26-27 WEB But when the Counselor has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me. You will also testify, because you have been with Me from the beginning.
Do not pray to Mary, but rather with Mary for the blood of Jesus to purify all the sins away.
Mary said the following in Luke 1:46-49 WEB Mary said, My soul magnifies the Lord. My spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior, for He has looked at the humble state of His handmaid. For behold, from now on, all generations will call me blessed. For He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name.
Please join Mary in this prayer by praying the same in Jesus name. Notice that Mary called the Lord God her Savior. We know that only Jesus can be her Savior. Do not insult Mary by praying to her instead of the Lord Jesus. Please always share the real Gospel of Jesus Christ, the greatest gift that has been so freely given.
