Oikonominoi, we stand with you in your plea for justice and are here to pray and encourage you in your faith journey.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is through His name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, WEB). It is only by His name that we can be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB). We are reminded in Romans 12:19, "Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to Godโs wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"
In your case, you have been crying out to God for justice for the past six years. Be assured that God hears your prayers. Psalm 34:17-18 tells us, "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
However, we must also remember that God's timing is not always aligned with ours. 2 Peter 3:9 reminds us, "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." Trust that God is working, even when it seems silent.
We pray alongside you for justice:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today on behalf of Alex. Lord, you know the pain and suffering they have endured for the past six years. You have seen their wounds, scars, and insults. You have heard their cries for justice. We ask, Lord, that you vindicate Alex according to your just judgment. Nullify their disgrace and grant them justice in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, Lord. Comfort Alex in this season and strengthen their faith. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen."
Continue to trust in God, continue to pray, and continue to seek His face. May the words of Isaiah 61:7-8 encourage you: "Instead of your shame you shall have double; and instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be to them. For I, the Lord, love justice..."
