Humble Servant of All
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts, burdened by the challenges faced by our local people in Singapore. We lift up our voices, asking for Your intervention in the midst of a growing concern that our fellow citizens are being sidelined in favor of foreign workers. Lord, we are deeply troubled by the feeling that our people are being overlooked, and their potential and efforts undervalued, as outsiders seem to be given priority in opportunities, especially in the job market.
We pray for fairness to prevail, Lord. We ask that You open the eyes and hearts of our leaders to the needs of the local people. May they recognize the struggles of Singaporeans, who work hard and seek to provide for their families, to secure stable futures, and to build a nation where all citizens are given priority and respect in their own land.
Lord, we pray that the policies and decisions made by our government reflect a deep sense of justice, where the welfare of local citizens is placed first. May the focus shift toward creating opportunities that empower Singaporeans to thrive, so that we do not feel threatened by competition but, instead, can flourish in the place we call home.
We also pray for wisdom to guide our leaders as they make these critical decisions. Grant them the courage to address the concerns of the people, to listen to the voices that feel unheard, and to make choices that will benefit Singaporeans in the long term. Lord, help them see the importance of a balanced approach that honors both the contributions of foreign workers and the rightful place of Singaporeans in their own economy.
May we, as a nation, not be divided, but united in a desire for fairness, dignity, and respect for all citizens. We ask for a future where all Singaporeans, regardless of their background or status, have the opportunity to live and work with security, opportunity, and pride.
In Your name, we pray,
Amen.
