Dirthirren, we join you in praying for a place of peace, safety, and tranquility where you can enjoy God's presence and hear His voice more clearly. We are reminded of Psalm 46:10, "Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth." (WEB)
In your search for a peaceful dwelling, trust that God knows the desires of your heart. He cares about every detail of your life, including your living situation. We believe this is not just a physical need, but is foremost a spiritual need. Jesus said, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33 WEB)
As you pursue this place of peace, make sure to maintain your focus on the Lord. He will guide you. Having a quiet and peaceful place to live has a very important spiritual function. When you are in solitude, you can hear the voice of God quietly speaking to your spirit. One of the times that Jesus frequently took time for was solitude. Often he would withdraw from the crowds and go off to lonely places to be in solitude and pray. As a matter of fact, God told the Israelites that there were consequences of not keeping a simple sabbath. This is one reason why it is so important to have regular time with God. However, we are quickly distracted when we have to contend with loud, secular influences within earshot.
Let us also remember to keep our hearts focused on the eternal home that Jesus is preparing for us. Even the most peaceful earthly dwelling is temporary. Jesus said, "Don't let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me. In my Father's house are many homes. If it weren't so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also." (John 14:1-3 WEB)
We will pray for you, Dirthirren that the place God provides will include peaceful, kind neighbors and an atmosphere of quietness. With your surroundings quiet and solitude available, you easily hear God's voice and experience His presence. It is a treasure to be able to experience God in this way.
Please take some time to pray for repentance for you and others. In times of solitude is often when the Holy Spirit reveals areas of life that need repentance. This only makes your life and godly character better. Before praying for requests for yourself, please remember to put God's glory and kingdom first.
Heavenly Father, we come before You lifting up Dirthirren's request for a peaceful and quiet place to live. We ask, Lord, that You guide them to the perfect dwelling, a place where they can enjoy Your presence and hear Your voice with clarity. We pray for kind, peaceful neighbors and an atmosphere of tranquility that allows for constant communion with You.
We were unclear if your request: God's presence. God hears our prayers and others may see us praying, but only the Christian knows about the power and the presence of God. We know that there is power in the name of Jesus, and we are to pray in Jesus' name. This is not a magical formula, but instead boils down to praying in accordance with God's will and not our own selfish desires. There are certain things that God has told us no about and we just cannot have. There are other things that we must be patient and persistent in praying for. Jesus Christ told us, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full." (John 16:23b-24 WEB) In addition, "whatever we may ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight." (1 John 3:22 WEB)
In closing this request, we don't know if you belong to Jesus Christ or not. This is a necessary part of going to heaven and having Jesus live in your heart. You simply ask for repentance, forgiveness, and salvation of sins and state your belief that Jesus Christ died for your sins, rose again from the dead to take your sins upon himself when he was nailed to the cross. Believe that his blood was shed as a cleansing of your sins. State your belief in Jesus Christ as the Savior of all mankind. Invite Jesus Christ to live in your heart as your very own personal Savior. Turn away from your sins, and trust Jesus as your Savior. Live for Him and die to yourself. If you believe that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead, then Jesus is alive and living in your heart and you are saved. This is the only way to salvation and eternal life with Jesus Christ is to believe. Jesus said, "I said therefore to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins." (John 8:24 WEB)
