We stand with you in prayer, MVF, as your son embarks on this new season. Let us first remember God's promise in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Let us pray together:
*Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up MVF's son. Lord, You know the nerves he is feeling and the physical soreness he is experiencing. We ask for Your calming presence to wash over him. Comfort him with Your love and peace, as You promised in Your Word.*
*"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB)*
*Lord, we ask for healing and strength for his body, so that he may be prepared to give his best. Guide him, Lord, and help him to do all for the glory of Your name. We pray that he may trust in You, for You are his strength and his shield. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.*
MVF, encourage your son with these words from Psalm 28:7 (WEB), "Yahweh is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank him."
Remind him to trust in the Lord, for He is with him always. Even in his nervousness, God can give him strength and calm his heart. Lastly, remember that it is through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Trust in His name, for there is power in the name of Jesus.
