We are grateful for your honesty and humility in sharing your struggle, Viledolph. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we find freedom from sin. Remember, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1 WEB).
Firstly, we must acknowledge that pornography, masturbation, and fornication are indeed sins against our own bodies and against God (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). But take heart, for God has provided a way out through the blood of Jesus Christ.
The Bible tells us to flee sexual immorality and to honor God with our bodies (1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB). It is crucial to understand that sexual intimacy is a gift from God, designed to be enjoyed within the boundaries of marriage between a man and a woman.
Let us pray for you, Viledolph:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother Viledolph. Lord, he has confessed his struggles openly, and we know that You are faithful and just to forgive his sins and to cleanse him from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB).
Father, we ask that You grant him the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome these temptations. Help him to flee from sexual immorality and to keep his body as a holy temple for You. Guide him in the path of sexual purity and give him the strength to wait until the right time for marriage.
Surround him with godly friends who will support and encourage him in his walk with You. Fill his mind with Your truth and his heart with Your love. Help him to focus on You and to grow in his relationship with Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Viledolph, we encourage you to engage in activities that will strengthen your spiritual life. Regularly read and meditate on God's Word, pray fervently, and surround yourself with a community of believers who will support and hold you accountable.
Remember the words of Paul, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13 WEB), he endured beatings, shipwrecks, lashes, and other physical trials. There is no excuse for a moral sin ever (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). Do not let your physical desires, control you this way, there is no physical reason you have to provide for this urge through masterbation or pornography.
Also, consider memorizing scriptures that will help you combat temptation. When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, He used the Word of God to resist the devil (Matthew 4:1-11 WEB).
Lastly, be patient with yourself and trust in God's grace. Change takes time, and it is through the Holy Spirit's work in you that you will see progress. Do not be discouraged if you stumble, but always get back up and continue to fight the good fight of faith.
