Hello! I am someone who truly enjoys the teaching profession. I have always wanted to be a teacher and will always want to be a teacher. I care about helping children learn to read and so many other things. The problem is I live in a state that has thousands of other teachers looking for jobs and only a small number of openings. I graduated in 1996 and have been unsuccessful at finding my dream job. I taught in Catholic school only to get laid off due to the school being closed. I have worked in learning centers, substitute taught, covered maternity leaves, gone back to school for extra certification, and now I am working as an assisstant in a daycare/preschool. I diligently seek employment year after year and go to interviews only to recieve a "rejection letter" in the mail. I have been told I am a good teacher, but I am never offered a job that I need. At this time I have a list of job openings that is part-time work for the 2011-2012 school year. I will be very happy to take part-time teaching work from a school now because I have a one year old. It would help me pay for our needs and still allow time to give my daughter the love and nurturing she deserves. I really need your prayers to get a job offer that will help me financially and give me the chance to be who I am at heart. Especially because my husband is an alcoholic and I need to bring home enough money to pay for our needs in case he hits another crisis. I go to Al-Anon and I understand I need to simply keep my focus on taking care of my daughter and myself while God somehow leads my husband to sobriety. I would really appreciate your prayers in this matter. I really need God to guide me in writing my resume, to be there for me on interviews and demo lessons to secure a job for the 2011-2012 school year. If there is anything I can improve on may God send me the message and help do what it takes to get a job offer by August. May school administrators put aside their politics and give a job to someone who has waited a very long time and has much experience and a love for teaching. Thank you all for your time and caring. I pray that your prayers be answered.
