We are deeply saddened to hear about the struggles in Dale and Brian's marriage. Let's bring this situation before the Lord, seeking His will and intervention.
Firstly, we must acknowledge that marriage is a sacred institution ordained by God, as seen in Mark 10:9, "What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder." (WEB) Therefore, we should not take the idea of leaving a marriage lightly.
However, we also recognize the pain and betrayal that Dale is experiencing due to Brian's deception. Psalm 55:12-14 tells us, "For it was not an enemy who insulted me, then I could have endured it. Neither was it he who hated me who raised himself up against me, then I would have hidden myself from him. But it was you, a man my equal, my companion, and my familiar friend. We took sweet counsel together. We walked in God’s house with the throng." (WEB) Betrayal from someone we trust deeply hurts, and God understands this pain.
Let us pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Dale and Brian's marriage to You. Lord, You know the pain and betrayal that Dale is feeling right now. We ask that You comfort her and give her the strength and wisdom she needs at this time. Lord, we also pray for Brian, that You would convict his heart and lead him to true repentance. We ask that You would restore their marriage, and make it stronger and more godly than it ever was before. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Dale, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support during this difficult time. Remember the words of Matthew 19:6, "So that they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, don’t let man put asunder." (WEB) While we do not condone Brian's actions, we encourage you to be open to reconciliation and forgiveness, following the example of Christ.
Lastly, we want to ensure that you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we can find true peace and healing. If you haven't already, consider inviting Him into your life and your marriage. As Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (WEB)
