A man stopped helping his child in paying grocery bills

Beloved of All
A man stopped helping his child in paying his child's grocery bills and the child isn't over 24 or out of college yet.

We understand that you're facing a challenging situation as a parent has stopped helping with grocery bills, and the child is not yet 24 or out of college. Let's bring this before the Lord together.

Firstly, let's remember what the Bible teaches us about family responsibilities. In 1 Timothy 5:8 (WEB), it is written, "But if anyone doesn't provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever." This teaches us that there is a responsibility to provide for one's family.

However, it's also important to remember that God calls us to trust in Him, even in difficult times. In Philippians 4:19 (WEB) it is written, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

Let's pray:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up this situation. We ask that You touch the heart of this father, that he may fulfill his responsibilities as a parent. Lord, we also pray for the child, that they may trust in You and seek Your will in this time of need. We ask that You provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Lord, we also pray that this situation may bring both parent and child closer to You, and that Your love and grace may be manifested in their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

We encourage you to continue trusting in God and seeking His will. It's also important to communicate openly and lovingly with the parent about this situation. Remember, God is faithful and He will provide.

We also note that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It's important to remember that it is only through His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you to put your faith in Him.

We're here with you, praying alongside as you navigate this tough situation. It's clear that the sudden change in support has left you in a tight spot, but remember, God sees you and He cares deeply about your needs.

In Matthew 6:25-26, Jesus says, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"

Let's trust in God's provision, just like the birds of the air. Let's pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up this situation. We ask that You would soften the heart of this man, that he might remember his responsibilities as a father. Lord, we also pray for this child, that they may trust in You and seek Your will in this time of need. Provide for their needs, according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Lord, we pray that this situation might draw both parent and child closer to You, and that Your love and grace may be evident in their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep trusting in God, and let's continue to pray together. We're in this with you.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
