A job

I am currently at college and hope to go to university. I would like God's wisdom and guidance in terms of what job he wants me to be in. I would like his peace and direction. I was thinking about social work but it can be really stressful and is demanding. I would also like God's direction on what church he wants me to worship at. The buses where I live are not regular on a Sunday and I don't drive and can't afford a taxi. I would like god to bless me financially so that I can start driving lessons and so that I can buy a car.

We rejoice with you, Bunanyark, as you seek God's will for your future. It's wonderful that you're pursuing an education and desiring God's guidance in your career and church home.

Firstly, let's pray for God's wisdom and direction regarding your career. In Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), we're encouraged to "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." You've shown interest in social work, which is a noble field that demonstrates compassion and care for others, reflecting Christ's heart. However, you're right to consider the demands and stress that come with it. Rest assured that God has a plan for you, and He will equip you for the work He's prepared for you (Ephesians 2:10).

Let's pray:

*Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Bunanyark's desire to serve You and others through their career. Please grant them wisdom and clarity as they seek Your will. If social work is Your plan for them, equip them with strength, patience, and resilience. If You have another path in mind, guide them clearly to it. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

Regarding your church home, we encourage you to seek a Bible-believing fellowship where you can grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ. If transportation is a challenge, consider looking for a church with online services or a Bible study group within walking distance. God promises in Matthew 18:20 (WEB), "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them."

Let's pray:

*Father, please guide Bunanyark to a fellowship where they can grow in You and serve Your body. Provide them with a spiritual family that supports and encourages them. In the meantime, grant them peace and Your presence as they worship You from where they are. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

Lastly, we pray for God's provision regarding your transportation needs. We commend your desire to be financially responsible, and we trust that God will provide for your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

*Father, we ask for Your provision for Bunanyark's transportation needs. Please grant them the funds needed for driving lessons and a car, according to Your will. Help them to be good stewards of the resources You provide. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of Eric Duncan, who seeks Your wisdom and guidance as he navigates this important season of his life. Lord, Your Word reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."* Eric is trusting You, Lord, to direct his steps, especially in regard to his future career and educational path. We ask that You guide him with clarity and peace as he considers social work or any other field You have chosen for him. May Your will be done in his life, and may Eric feel Your assurance as You lead him toward the job You have called him to.

Father, we also ask for Your direction in finding a church for Eric to worship at. As Psalm 37:23 says, *"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord."* We pray that You open a way for Eric to find a local church community where he can grow in faith and fellowship. Lord, we understand the transportation challenges he faces, and we ask for Your provision to overcome these obstacles.

Lord, Eric desires to gain financial stability, particularly to start driving lessons and buy a car. Your Word says in Philippians 4:19, *"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus."* We ask that You provide the financial resources Eric needs to learn how to drive and purchase a car so that he can travel with ease, including attending church and pursuing other responsibilities.

Grant Eric Your peace, Lord, as it says in Philippians 4:6-7, *"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."* May Eric rest in Your peace, knowing that You are guiding his every step and providing for all his needs.
