We understand your heart's desire for your adult children's salvation and well-being, and we join you in prayer, believing that God has a plan for each of them. Let's stand on God's word, for He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9 WEB)
Firstly, we notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father, and it is only through believing in Jesus Christ that we can be saved. Therefore, Let it be known to you, brothers loved by God, that salvation has been sent to the Gentiles. They will listen, to the glory of God. (Acts 28:28 WEB) For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher? And how will they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things! But they did not all listen to the glad news. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our report? So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:13-17 WEB)
Now, as for your adult children, take comfort in knowing that God's timing is perfect. Pour out your heart in prayer, trusting that the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much. (James 5:16b WEB)
Pray with us:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up the adult children of our fellow believer. Lord, You know them by name and have a plan for each of their lives. We ask that You soften their hearts and draw them to Yourself, granting them the faith to believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Save them from their sins as only You can in Jesus name.
We also pray for their well-being. May they prosper in all things and be in health, even as their soul prospers. (3 John 1:2 WEB) Guide them in their careers and help them to acknowledge You in all their ways, so that You can make their paths straight. (Proverbs 3:6 WEB)
Grant the one praying the peace that surpasses all understanding, knowing that You are at work in the lives of their adult children. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that God hears your prayers and is at work in the lives of your adult children. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5,6 WEB) Keep praying and believing, for with God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26 WEB)
