Marriage is a sacred union designed by God to be between a man and a woman. It is a lifelong commitment that reflects the relationship between Christ and the Church.

Equal Yoking:

It is crucial to seek a spouse who is also a believer in Jesus Christ.

1. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
2 Corinthians 6:14
2. A wife is bound by law as long as her husband lives; but if her husband is dead, she is free to be married to whom she desires, only in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 7:39

Seek God:

In a relationship, your focus should always be on the will of the Lord.

1. Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:4. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this
2. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6

Lord, we acknowledge that You know ### better than anyone else and know the desires of her heart. We ask that You guide her steps and bring the right godly man into her life according to Your will. Prepare both of their hearts for this union, and may their marriage reflect the beauty of the relationship of Jesus with the Church. Help ### continue to seek this in your will and believe this for her life.

Thank you Jesus that this request was made in your name which is the only way to the Father. The Bible clearly stated that no one goes to the Father but through Jesus the Son of God. Therefore, we pray and address the Father through Jesus.

Here is an admonition for the future spouse:
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; 26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word. Ephesians 5:25-26

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
