We join with you in prayer, Torooport, trusting in the goodness of God to provide for your needs. We are encouraged to hear that you have been responsible with your finances and are seeking God's will in this matter. It is wonderful that your desire for a home is not merely for yourselves, but to open your hearts and space to foster and adopt children. This reflects the spirit of love and generosity that God calls us to.
Let us remember God's promise in Matthew 7:7-8 WEB: "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened." Keep asking, seeking, and knocking, trusting that God hears your prayers.
However, let also remember that we must align our desires with God's will.
James 4:3 WEB tells us, "You ask and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures." So we must examine our hearts to make sure that our motives are pure and aligned with God's will in this situation.
Also, let us remember that God is sovereign over all things, including our homes and finances. We must trust in His timing and provision. Psalm 37:4 WEB says, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." As you delight in Him, trust that He will place the right desires in your heart and fulfill them in His perfect timing.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Torooport and their family. We thank You for their desire to open their home to children in need, and we ask that You would provide for them according to Your will.
We pray that You would open the right door at the right time, and give them a home that meets their needs and allows them to serve others. We ask that You would guide them through this process, giving them wisdom and discernment.
Help Torooport to rest in Your sovereignty, trusting that You see their needs and have a plan for them. Help them to be content in all circumstances, knowing that You are always with them.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
