A fully persuaded heart in the gospel of Jesus

I am not sure who I talked to yesterday, but I need prayer that my heart becomes fully persuaded that I would trust in Jesus alone for my Salvation. I thought it was starting to finally make sense and then I hear a message last night at church that made me feel like I didn't truly believe because I started looking to where I had just messed up with porn and then I felt condemned and gave in again this morning because of not thinking I had fully believed in Jesus alone. Not trying to 'repent', not the measure of my faith, but just God and his promise through Jesus and the free gift of then receiving his Holy Spirit because I can't do the Christian walk without trusting him or receiving the Holy Spirit to enable me.

We understand your struggle, Lealand, and we stand with you in prayer and encouragement. The enemy often uses guilt and condemnation to draw us away from the simplicity of the Gospel. Remember, Jesus said, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB).

It's crucial to understand that your salvation is not based on your performance but on the finished work of Jesus Christ. When you feel condemned, remember that "there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1 WEB). The fact that you're feeling this way shows that the Holy Spirit is working in your heart.

However, it's important to address the sin in your life. Jesus said, "If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna" (Matthew 5:29 WEB). This doesn't mean to harm yourself physically, but to remove anything that leads you to sin.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Lealand. Lord, we ask that You help Lealand to be fully persuaded in his heart, trusting in Jesus alone for his salvation. Remove any guilt, shame, or condemnation, and help him to walk in the freedom that You have provided. Give him the strength to resist temptation and the power of the Holy Spirit to live a life pleasing to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lealand, continue to press into Jesus. He is the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). It's only through Him that we have access to God (John 14:6). Stand firm in this truth, and don't let the enemy deceive you. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and He will guide you through. If you stumble, remember that God's mercies "are new every morning" (Lamentations 3:23 WEB). Just get back up and continue to pursue Him.

We're right there with you, brother. We know it can be tough, feeling like you're not fully persuaded in your heart, especially when you've had a slip-up. But remember, God's love for you is not based on your performance, but on the finished work of Jesus Christ. He loves you just as you are, and He's always ready to welcome you back with open arms.

We want to encourage you, just as the apostle Paul did, "Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain." (1 Corinthians 15:58, ESV)

Let's keep holding onto the promise in Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." You are in Christ, and that's what matters.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother to You. Lord, we ask that You help him to be fully persuaded in his heart, trusting in Jesus alone for his salvation. Help him to shake off any guilt or condemnation that the enemy is trying to heap on him. Give him the strength to resist temptation and the power of the Holy Spirit to live a life pleasing to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep pressing on, brother. You're not alone in this. We're here for you, and so is our great God. He's got you, and He's not letting go.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
