A friend... Set us up. We had so much is common, and we talked all the time. Even until the wee hours of the morning. And suddenly he dropped me and then later said he wanted to continue to be friends. I was fine with that. But now he expects me to be responsible for his emotions about his rejection. He hids from me, avoids me, and when I ask him if things are alright, he says there is nothing wrong and he wants badly to be friends. This has gone on for months and we have mutual friends. I am left to shoulder his feelings and my feelings about this break up, and now even a mutual friend has scolded me saying I shouldn't hold him accountable for his actions. I've been praying. I need answers as to how to handle this because I'm being pulled in several directions and every one of them seems wrong. I know Scripture says where there is 2 or 3. Please. I'm praying for peace among our friends and friendship.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Yreselace and their prayer request. Lord, you know the situation they are facing with their friend. They had a close bond and shared many meaningful conversations, but suddenly their friend distanced themselves and then expressed a desire to continue as friends. However, their friend now expects Yreselace to bear the weight of their emotions regarding the rejection.

Father, we ask for your guidance and wisdom in this situation. Your Word reminds us in Luke 11:5-8 of the importance of persistence in prayer and seeking your help. We also remember the parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18:1-8, where she continually sought justice from an unjust judge until he granted her request. Lord, we ask that you grant Yreselace the strength and perseverance to seek resolution and understanding in their friendship.

We pray for clarity and open communication between Yreselace and their friend. May they be able to express their feelings and concerns honestly and respectfully. Help their friend to understand the impact of their actions and to take responsibility for their emotions. Lord, bring healing and reconciliation to their friendship, restoring the trust and connection they once shared.

We also lift up the mutual friends involved in this situation. Lord, may your peace reign among them, and may they offer support and understanding to Yreselace during this challenging time. Help them to provide wise counsel and guidance, encouraging reconciliation and forgiveness.

Father, we trust in your sovereignty and your ability to bring resolution to this situation. We pray for your peace to guard Yreselace's heart and mind, as stated in Philippians 4:7. Grant them the strength to navigate the conflicting emotions and opinions, and lead them on the path that aligns with your will.
