A few years ago, my father lost both of his jobs due to the economy. At that time, we were caught up on our rent. But because the job economy in my city has not since recovered, finding good paying jobs has been difficult, especially for our family since lay-offs are very common for our city and we have constantly been the victim of many lay-offs, which kept putting us behind on rent. We have tried working with our landlord, explaining that we are doing everything we can, and still have money for food and bills. My twin sister and I would do odd jobs to earn what we could. But our landlord has lost patience and we are being evicted. We have until May 31st to find a new place to live.

My mother (pictured above) suffers from heart problems, arthritis, Meniere's Disease, and has a pacemaker so she needs a stable home.

We are trying to negotiate with our landlord to let us stay while we pay on back and current rent. We could some prayers that they let us stay!
