We understand the complexity and heartache in this situation. Firstly, let us bring this matter to the Lord in prayer.
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your intervention and guidance in this complex and painful situation. We pray for this daughter, who has suffered physically and emotionally, that You will heal her body, particularly her neck, lower spine, and hips. Grant her healing and comfort, Lord, and guide her to the right medical professionals who can address her needs. We also pray for her father, that his heart may be softened and his eyes opened to the reality of his daughter's suffering. Help him to understand and address her physical and emotional needs with love and compassion. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
This situation highlights a lack of understanding and care on the father's part. According to the scriptures, we are to "be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another" (Romans 12:10, WEB). The father's actions do not reflect this biblical principle.
Moreover, forgiveness is indeed a vital part of our Christian walk, as it says in Ephesians 4:32, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (WEB). However, the father's insistence on forgiveness in this context seems misplaced and self-serving, especially given the daughter's ongoing physical suffering and his apparent neglect of her medical needs.
We must also address the fact that the prayer request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'" (WEB). We encourage the person who submitted this request to put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ for salvation and healing.
Lastly, we rebuke the actions of the father and his girlfriend for using the children for their own benefit and then casting them out. This is not the love that God intends for families. We pray that God will convict their hearts and bring about a change in their behavior.
