Steven, we understand your frustration with the obstacles you're facing, and we're here to pray and provide counsel from a biblical perspective. We want to encourage you to turn to the Lord. Remember and actually use 1 John 5:14: "This is the confidence which we have before him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us."
Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that our plans are subject to God's will. Proverbs 16:9 WEB states, "A manβs heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps. We need to submit our plans to Him and trust in His timing and direction. Psalm 37:23 WEB tells us, "Yahweh directs his steps."
Secondly, we want to encourage you to pray specifically in the name of Jesus Christ. It's only through His name that we have access to God the Father. John 14:6, Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 WEB. Jesus said "whatever you will ask in My name that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it" John 14:13-14 WEB.
Now, let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father we thank You that You are sovereign over all things. We lift up Steven to You, asking that You guide his steps and remove any obstacles that are not according to Your will. Give him wisdom and discernment to recognize Your direction in his life. Help him to learn patience, perseverance, and persistence that never gives up. Father God, we pray steadfastly that you forgive Steven of his sins, turn from going his own way, trust that Jesus Christ paid from his sins on the cross and rose from the dead for his sins and transgressions. By faith believing this, he can enter your presence, pray and commune with you, and be assured of his salvation permanently according to your word and promises. He can have assurance of salvation according to 1 John 5:10-13 WEB among many other verses.
Help him make right and informed decisions. Jesus please show Steven a better way, your way to deal with this very frustrating problem, in a godly and holy way. Help him to stop using the word stupid as it is borderline profanity. Let him not postpone necessary tasks when possible. We pray this according to your will in Jesus' name, we pray and ask that God, you forgive Steven of his sins and help him live in holiness, faith, trust, and obedience every day to you in Jesus name,
Amen.
Steven, we encourage you to continue to trust the promise of scripture. We recommend reading the Psalms for comfort, peace, and reassurance. Stay in prayer for yourself. Jesus loves you, wants you to believe him, accept him, and turn from and forsake your sin. Romans 10:9-10 WEB says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Therefore, believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Then you can also read the Bible as it applies. This will be very valuable and helpful.
In the meantime, we will be praying for you.
