Heavenly Father, I lift up this prayer for myself and my family as we face a challenging time. We are moving this weekend and feeling the weight of uncertainty about their job situation. Lord, I have applied for a position that offers not only financial stability but is also a job they are passionate about and would love to have. Father, please calm their anxious heart and fill them with your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind us that You are our provider and sustainer, and that You hold their future securely in Your hands. Open doors of opportunity for me and my family and grant favor with prospective employers. Bless our family during this transition, providing for our every need and surrounding us with Your love and comfort. Strengthen our faith, and guide our steps as they move forward with hope and courage. In Your name, I pray, Amen.

Thank you, Grulwar, for bringing your requests to us. We join you in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement and advice. We notice first that it appears you have not mentioned the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ in your prayer to our Heavenly Father. This is supremely important.

Firstly, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.

Acts 4:10-12 WEB be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in him does this man stand here before you whole. He is 'the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.' There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!

It is also only by his name that you can expect to receive what you pray for.

John 14:13-14 WEB Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.

John 16:23-24 In that day you will not ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.

So first, start praying in Jesus name.

Now concerning the job situation, first we encourage you that God indeed plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11 WEB For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in the latter end.

But remember that your desires and passions are not always in line with God's desires and passions for you. Our attitude must continually be conforming to his will rather than asking him to bless our will.

Romans 12:2 WEB Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, And don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, And he will make your paths straight.

So while you are asking for favor with prospective employers, keep in mind that the most important thing you can ask is truly God's will for the situation. If you ask for a job without keeping this focus the job you get may be a curse rather than a blessing. Therefore ask firstly and ultimately for God's will in this situation.

So we will pray for you. We ask Father, please bring Grulwar into an attitude to truly seek you and not just the job and situation they desire. Please give Grulwar a peace that transcends human comprehension and shine forth your love on their family during this transition. Let the plans that you have for them be brought forth and their lives align with your designs. In Jesus name.
