A Brief Update...

My Mighty Prayer Warriors:

Please allow me to express my sincere gratitude for your continued thoughts and prayers. Although I am still frantically looking for assistance to pay my rent and other monthly obligations, I did receive notice today that my electric bill has been paid in full by the Maryland Fuel Fund. Praise be unto GOD! Last week, I received an email from a recruiter regarding a possible upcoming contract with the DOJ. Like other recruiters before her, I believe that she would 'hook' me then leave me. Thus far, she has proven me wrong. On Tuesday, I received an email regarding a Letter of Intent for the position and a release/authorization to verify my clearance. Immediately I returned the information. Yesterday, I received an email indicating a change in procedure whereby 3-4 references were required. Again, I IMMEDIATELY returned the information. Today, I learned from my friend/spiritual confidant that she had received a VM from a representative from the DOJ. Hence, it validates that reference checks are underway. Praise be unto GOD! This is perhaps the closest that I have become to actually regaining employment. Please continue to hold me in thought and prayer that I will indeed secure a position on the pending contract and that I will get my rent and  other outstanding bills will be paid. Thank you and may God continue to bless.
