We join you in prayer for a blessed night and the gift of life for your parents and everyone living. We come with you in agreement to approach the throne of grace with confidence.
Let us pray together in the name of Jesus:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our hearts in prayer which is the gift you have given us as taught in Philippians 4:6 "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." We thank You for the gift of life and for our parents who have cared for us as you instruct parents to do in Ephesians 6:4 "Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." Parents are a gift from you to us.
We ask, Lord, that You grant them a blessed night's rest and fill them with Your peace and it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. You have also given us a command in John 14:6: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other name by which we can be saved.
We pray for their health and strength, and we ask that You extend Your loving kindness to each precious person living as well. Lord, we know that you have given us rules for living and we should obey them. We shouldn't be like the wicked king described in 1 Kings 21:25 "There was no one like Ahab, who sold himself to do that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up." We should not let others influence us to do things that are not in your will.
We pray for a blessed night for all, knowing that You are faithful to hear and answer our prayers. We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Remember the words of Psalm 56:8 "You number my wanderings. You put my tears into your container. Aren't they in your book?" God knows our sorrows and joys, and He keeps track of every tear we cry. Be encouraged, knowing that the Lord cares for you and your loved ones. Stand firm in faith, trusting in His promises and goodness as our discussion supports this idea.
Also, let us remember 1 John 5:14 "This is the boldness which we have toward him that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us." We must always remember to pray in the name of Jesus and according to God's will.
