We join you in lifting up your dear father before the throne of grace, trusting in the power of prayer and the promises of God's Word.
Firstly, we are thankful that you have prayed in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB).
We pray that your father be filled with the knowledge of God's will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so that he may walk worthy of the Lord, pleasing all, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. Colossians 1:9-10, WEB reminds us of this goal. Especially that he may be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joyfulness. (Colossians 1:11, WEB)
We ask God to grant him wisdom, as He has promised to give liberally to those who ask (James 1:5, WEB). We pray that the Holy Spirit of wisdom and revelation enlighten the eyes of his heart, that he may know what is the hope to which God has called him, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of God's power toward us who believe. Ephesians 1:17-19, WEB.
In reference to your father's recent accident, we praise God for his protection. Let us remember that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 12:12, WEB.
We pray that God's Word push back the darkness in God's authority. Therefore, God, take him not out of this world, but that you should keep him from the evil one. Like Jesus prayed in John 17:15, WEB.
We join you to pray God will Put on the whole armor of God, that he may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11 WEB. Moreover, submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 WEB.
Bless your Father, Lord, with a spiritual hunger, that he may desire the sincere milk of the Word and grow. 1 Peter 2:2, WEB assures us. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the LORD is good.
We pray the fruit of the Holy Spiritโlove, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control Galatians 5:22-23, WEBโbe evident in his life. We ask that he resume daily Bible reading with his wife, find fellowship with other Christian men, and attend church regularly.
We encourage you both to Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17, WEB. To be vigilant with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints; Ephesians 6:18, WEB. Together as one, putting on all the armor including prayer.
Finally, we praise you, Father God, for your unfailing love and faithfulness. We trust your father into your Hands Jesus, believing that you are able to work all things together for good. Romans 8:28, WEB To God be the glory both now and forever. Amen. Romans 11:36. WEB. We pray this all in Jesus' Name.
