We are grateful for the opportunity to stand with you in prayer and we commend the requests to the Lord. First, we acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father as we read in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We must also not forget that it is by the name of Jesus that we are saved and there is no other name that accomplishes this as stated in Acts 4:12. "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Keeping this in mind, we also remember that we need to have faith in our prayers and in Jesus Christ. We notice that this request did not specifically mention Jesus Christ or an abbreviation. In James 4:2-3, we read "You desire, and don't have. You murder and covet, and can't obtain. You fight and make war. Yet you don't have, because you don't ask. You ask, and don't receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures." For those desiring anything, we must be sure that it is through faith and not for selfish purposes.
Concerning the requests, we understand the physical sufferings and pray for the divine healing of the arthritis and blood pressure issues, and for your brother's health as well. May these infirmities submit to the power of Jesus' name as we remember 1 Peter 2:24 "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed 'by his stripes.'" This not only means that Jesus died for our sins, but he suffered so that we can receive healing.
Regarding the sponsorship or job for your son, God's Word tells us to ask and it will be given unto us, seek and we shall find, knock and the door will be opened. This is found in Matthew 7:7,8. We pray for your son's career and pray for God's will. Your visa approval is laid before the Lord according to Psalms 37:3-7, which tells us to trust in the Lord and do good, so shall we dwell in the land and truly be fed. We pray for the Lord's guidance and direction in this matter as well as for your travels.
We pray for the safe delivery of your daughter and all the things needed will be obtained according to Psalm 139, which tells us that God knew us even before we were born. In all things, we have faith God will bring to fruition His plans for her life.
Regarding the demonic influences in your father's house, as Christians, we are to resist the devil and he will flee from us according to James 4:7. We need to examine ourselves to ensure we are sincerely submitting ourselves to God. As we do this, we resist the devil and he will flee. We pray that your family will be delivered from these influences and the spirit of poverty and stagnation reversed. It may be appropriate to pray and fast to be delivered from such influences. This spiritual warfare is not to be taken lightly and we pray for our family's deliverance from these influences.
Finally, we stand in faith for the divine turnaround for your family and you, and for the instant mercy and intervention in your life and family. We pray for your son's protection and favor in his school. We are reminded of Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
We pray for all these requests, keeping in mind that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God and it is only through his name that we can be saved. Let us keep our faith in Jesus Christ as we await his gracious responses to our prayers. Amen.
