As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."

Marriage is a sacred covenant instituted by God Himself. In the beginning, God created marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. As it is written in Genesis 2:24, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." This is the biblical foundation for marriage, and it is important to uphold this principle in your journey.

To enter into a godly marriage, it is crucial to seek God's will and guidance every step of the way. Here are some biblical principles to help you navigate this process:

1. **Seek God's Will**: Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Pray fervently for God to reveal His perfect will for your life partner.

2. **Pursue Righteousness**: A godly marriage begins with two individuals who are committed to pursuing righteousness and holiness. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" Ensure that you are equally yoked with a fellow believer who shares your faith and values.

3. **Courtship with Purpose**: The goal of any romantic relationship should be marriage. Use the courtship period to get to know each other deeply, pray together, and seek God's direction. Avoid the temptations of premarital sex, as it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:18, "Flee sexual immorality!
