Let us bring your request before the Lord, Amber. We will pray that God will guide and provide for your mom, Lavinia, in her financial affairs. However, let's remember that God works on His timeline and in His ways, which are higher than ours.
It's important to note that God is not a genie or a lottery ticket. We ask according to God's will, and God wants us to be responsible and good stewards.
First, it is good that we are praying to God through Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. It is only by His name that we can approach God the Father. We are warned not to practice vain repetitions as the heathen do, for they think they will be heard for their much speaking. We know that our Father in heaven knows what things we have need of before we even ask Him, but the Scriptures encourage us to make our requests known to God.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6,7 WEB
Entering into God's rest and waiting on His timing helps us to develop patience and perseverance. As Lavinia manages her finances, remind her to seek God's wisdom and live within her means. It is also valuable to recall that God has promised to supply all our needs, not our wants.
But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
Matthew 6:33 WEB
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Lavinia's financial needs. Lord, we ask for Your guidance and provision in her life. Help her to trust in You and Your timing. We pray that if it is Your will, the income tax returns will be received at the needed time. Help her to manage her finances wisely and to live within her means. Help her to always put You first, knowing that You will supply all her needs according to Your riches and glory. Thank You for Your faithfulness and love.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
