Signs there is an evil alter in a place?

Anonymous, we understand that you're seeking signs of an evil altar in a place. First, let's clarify that evil altars are not something to seek out, but rather something to be discerned and prayed against if encountered. The Bible tells us to be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour 1 Peter 5:8.

We are commanded to expose the unfruitful works of darkness Ephesians 5:11 This does not mean to actively seek out evil, but rather to be aware of it and stand against it as we go about our lives. If you encounter a situation that seems to have an evil influence, some signs to discern are:

1. Idolatry: The presence of idols, images, or objects being worshipped or used in a way that is not glorifying to God. You shall not make for yourselves an idol nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God. Exodus 20:4-5
2. Occult practices: Any form of divination, sorcery, or spiritism. There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh. Deuteronomy 18:10-12
3. Oppression or fear: A sense of heaviness, oppression, or fear in a place can indicate an evil presence. For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7
4. Sinful activities: Any activities that are clearly against God's commandments, such as sexual immorality, violence, or substance abuse.

If you encounter such a situation, do not engage with it, but rather pray against the evil influences and ask God for discernment and protection. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Anonymous and the situation they are facing. Lord, grant them discernment to recognize the unfruitful works of darkness and wisdom to know how to stand against them. Equip them with your full armor, that they may stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Break any strongholds or evil influences in the place they are inquiring about, and let your light and truth prevail. Guide them in your path of righteousness, and let your peace be their comfort and guide.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Anonymous, remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms Ephesians 6:12. Stand firm in your faith and the power of Jesus' name, trusting God's protection and guidance.

If there are any signs of evil influences, do not confront them alone, but seek support from fellow believers and your local church. Be wise as a snake and as pure as a dove Matthew 10:16.

As it's written, "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it" (John 1:5). Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
