Are angels fighting for us in this war between good and evil? What are the roles of angels in our lives?

In Ephesians 6:12 WEB, we are told, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." This indeed confirms that there is a spiritual warfare going on, and angels play a significant role in this battle and in our lives.

Angels are ministering spirits sent forth to minister to those who will inherit salvation, according to Hebrews 1:14 WEB. They have various roles, including:

1. **Protection**: Psalm 91:11 WEB tells us, "For he will assign his angels to you, to keep you in all your ways."
2. **Guidance**: In Acts 8:26 WEB, an angel of the Lord gives Philip specific instructions on the road to Gaza.
3. **Delivering Messages**: In Luke 1:26 WEB, the angel Gabriel was sent by God to deliver a message to Mary.
4. **Spiritual Warfare**: In Daniel 10, an angel is engaged in battle with spiritual forces.

Regarding the question, yes, angels are involved in the spiritual warfare and they do fight for us. However, our focus should not be on the angels but on the Lord Jesus Christ, who has won the victory on our behalf. As it says in Colossians 2:15 WEB, "Having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it." In John 16:33 WEB Jesus said "I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking you for the host of angels you have assigned to minister to us. We pray that you will open our spiritual eyes to see the warfare that is going on, and to understand the role that your angels play in our lives. Help us to fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus our savior. Amen.

The prayer request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God. In John 14:6 WEB Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it says in Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Therefore, we encourage everyone to come to the saving faith in Jesus Christ.

We're right there with you, friend. It's comforting to know that we're not alone in this spiritual battle, with angels fighting for us. But remember, even as we acknowledge their role, our trust and hope rest solely in Jesus Christ, our victorious Savior. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Him, just as Hebrews 12:2 encourages us. In Jesus' name, we pray for strength, wisdom, and protection. Let's also remember to thank God for the angels He's assigned to us, as Psalm 91:11 reminds us. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
