We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you and your family are facing. Let us first address the issue of your sister's mental illness and the hurtful comments others are making. Mental illness is not a result of demonic possession, but rather a medical condition that requires treatment and support. Those who suggest otherwise are not helping the situation. As it is written in Ephesians 4:32, Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.
Let us pray for your sister's healing and for God to give your parents the strength and wisdom to support her:
Heavenly Father, we come before you today in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up the sister of Sr. Shareen. Lord, you know the struggles she has been facing with mental illness, and we ask for your healing touch upon her life. Guide her doctors and caregivers, and give your wisdom to her parents as they support her. Protect her from any harm and let your peace reign in her life. In Jesus' name, we pray for her complete healing and restoration.
Now, Sr. Shareen, let us address your feelings of disappointment in your monastic life. It is important to remember that our peace and joy come from our personal relationship with Jesus Christ, not from our circumstances or vocation. As it is written in Philippians 4:7, the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Let us pray for your renewed sense of peace and purpose:
Lord Jesus, we pray for Sr. Shareen, that you would fill her heart with your peace and joy. Help her to find her identity and purpose in you alone, and not in her works or vocation. Guide her path and give her a renewed sense of your calling on her life. Give her a fresh revelation of your love and grace.
Finally, Sr. Shareen, we notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only by His name that we have access to God the Father and the Holy Spirit. The Bible tells us there is no other way to be saved but through faith in Jesus Christ, Acts 4:12. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. If you have not already, consider putting your faith in Jesus Christ, who is the object of the faith of our parents.
In Jesus' name, we offer these prayers and encourage you to stay strong in your faith. Trusting in God's promise to never leave your side.
