It's crucial to remember that forgiveness and healing come from God, and He is faithful to help us with our burdens. As it says in the World English Bible (WEB), "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28).
First, let's address the importance of seeking God in the name of Jesus Christ. The Bible is clear that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. As Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6). It's wonderful that you're seeking God, and we encourage you to do so in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we find salvation and healing.
Regarding your past, remember what the Apostle Paul wrote, "Brothers, I don't regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 3:13-14). It's important to leave the past behind and press forward, focusing on the new life that God has for you.
When you find yourself tempted to chase after others or compare yourself to them, recall the words of Peter, who said, "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you" (1 Peter 5:6-7). God cares for you deeply and wants to help you with these struggles.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your forgiveness and healing for our dear brother/sister. Lord, help them to leave their past behind and to press forward in the new life You have for them. Help them to resist the temptation to chase after others or compare themselves, and instead, help them to fix their eyes on You.
We pray for complete healing from the last seven years, knowing that with You, all things are possible. Strengthen their faith and help them to trust in You completely. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
