We understand that you're finding it challenging to fast, and we want to encourage and support you in this spiritual discipline. Fasting is a powerful tool that can bring us closer to God, but it's important to remember that it should be done with the right heart and motivation.
In Matthew 6:16-18 (WEB), Jesus teaches us about fasting: "Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face; so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you."
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up our brother/sister who is finding it difficult to fast. Lord, please strengthen them in their resolve and help them to fix their eyes on You. Give them the grace to persevere and to understand the purpose of fasting. Help them to do it not just as a religious exercise, but as a means to draw closer to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
