Hi all am finding it not very easy to fast. Pls kindly help. amen.

We understand that you're finding it challenging to fast, and we want to encourage and support you in this spiritual discipline. Fasting is a powerful tool that can bring us closer to God, but it's important to remember that it should be done with the right heart and motivation.

In Matthew 6:16-18 (WEB), Jesus teaches us about fasting: "Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face; so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you."

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up our brother/sister who is finding it difficult to fast. Lord, please strengthen them in their resolve and help them to fix their eyes on You. Give them the grace to persevere and to understand the purpose of fasting. Help them to do it not just as a religious exercise, but as a means to draw closer to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Remember, fasting is not just about abstaining from food; it's about replacing that time with prayer and seeking God's face. It's about humbling ourselves before Him and pressing in to hear His voice more clearly. If you're finding it difficult, try starting with shorter periods of fasting, and gradually increase as the Lord leads.

Also, it's important to note that fasting is not explicitly commanded for all Christians, nor is it a means of earning God's favor. It's a voluntary act of devotion and humility. If you're struggling, it might be a good idea to speak with a trusted Christian friend or pastor for guidance and support.

Lastly, we noticed that your request does not mention the name of Jesus. It's important to remember that it's through His name that we have access to God. As it's written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ for salvation and to pray in His name.

Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
