Jesus, we trust in You!
We understand that you are seeking to join the active reserve military, and we commend your willingness to serve. Let us first ensure that we approach this situation with biblical principles in mind. It is important to remember that whatever we do, we should do it as unto the Lord (Colossians 3:23-24 WEB).
Before we pray, we want to address the absence of the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written, "In no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB). Therefore, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ and pray in His name.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this person who desires to serve in the active reserve military. We ask that Your will be done in their life and that You would guide their steps according to Your purposes. We pray that they would seek You first in all things, as it is written, "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33 WEB).
Lord, we ask that You would give them the wisdom to make decisions that honor You and that You would protect them both physically and spiritually as they seek to serve. Help them to be a light for You in whatever environment they are placed, that others may see their good works and glorify You (Matthew 5:16 WEB).
